ZAM

Your embedded partner for a business you fully own

ZAM Systems (ZAM, short for Zero Admin Machines) is not an agency and not just a developer. One senior partner audits your whole business, closes the gaps with tools you own instead of rent, adds AI where it earns its place, and trains your team until the system runs clean.

What an embedded partnership does

A four-step engagement, not a one-off project: audit the operation end to end, build the gaps into one operating system you own, automate with AI where it pays for itself, then train the team and keep improving it.

  • Whole-business audit of tools, manual steps, and bottlenecks
  • One owned operating system that replaces rented SaaS
  • AI agents and automation where they earn their place
  • Continuous improvement and hands-on team training

Proof from a real build

A ~200-employee owner-operated business rebuilt into one owned system: 16 departments, 14 live Airtable bases, 21 SaaS tools replaced, 25+ AI agents in production, and $0 ongoing license cost.

Frequently asked questions

What is ZAM Systems?
ZAM Systems is ZAM (Zero Admin Machines), at zamation.dev: a senior embedded operations partner for owner-operated businesses. We audit the whole operation, replace rented SaaS with one operating system the business owns, add AI and automation where they earn their place, and train the team. ZAM started in Toronto and works with clients remotely.
Is ZAM an agency or a software developer?
Neither. ZAM is a single senior embedded partner who audits the whole business, builds the systems you own, and stays to improve them — closer to a fractional operations lead than an agency or a freelance developer.
What does "own your software" mean?
Instead of renting per-seat SaaS forever, you get one operating system built on tools you control, with no per-user licenses and no renewals you cannot cancel. When the work is paid for, the system is yours.
How do you decide where to add AI?
AI and automation are added only where they clearly earn their place — removing manual steps, speeding real workflows, or unlocking capacity — never as a bolt-on for its own sake.
What kinds of businesses does ZAM work with?
Owner-operated service businesses that pay for a stack of tools that still does not fit how they work, or run critical processes through spreadsheets and copy-paste. Logistics, trades, consulting, recruitment and construction are where owning the system pays for itself fastest. We work remotely, so the country does not matter.
Do we have to replace all of our software?
No. If a process already works, we build around it rather than replace it, and some tools, like email and file storage, are usually worth keeping rented. We replace what you only rent out of habit and close the gaps between the tools you keep.
How much does ZAM cost?
It depends on how much is already built. A Systems Audit is $495 and credits toward any Build within 30 days. A ZAM Build designed around your own process starts at $8,000. An Embedded Partner month is $15,000 for businesses up to 80 staff and $20,000 above that, with no long-term contract. Full detail is on the pricing page.
How do we get started?
Book a free call. If the fit is right, we build one scoped workflow for free as a proof, agreed in writing up front, so you see the system working in your business before you pay for the rest.
